It enables you to manage and monitor manufacturing in real time by providing data on your production plan efficiency for each department by employee/machine/cost centre, along with info on delay in production, quality checks carried out on the line, batch track and trace, TPM and finite capacity scheduling with resource optimization.

 

The key functions of OPERA MES are:

 

 

DATA COLLECTION

This module makes it possible to collect online shopfloor data automatically for real-time monitoring of all direct and indirect activities.

Data are collected either through operators declaring activities at data collection stations or directly from the machine with a data input card detecting automatically such info as downtime or the number of pieces produced.

 

Data collected are then monitored in real time by running direct database queries to ensure they provide consistent and reliable information for process analysis. Stations are located strategically inside the plant to make things easier for users.  Data collected are concerned with production, quality, maintenance, and staff attendance

 

PRODUCTION MONITORING

This module allows you to monitor real-time status of all production resources machines, operators and orders – and have access to a record of all events.

Its main functions are:

- Simultaneous view of plant/ department/area /group of resources for real-time status analysis.

- Real-time info on quantity produced/production performance/work orders status/operators status for a timely detection of critical points and for the Management to work out winning strategies.

Graphic representation of collected data for immediate and interactive situation analysis.

 

 

 

DIRECT CONNECTION TO MACHINES

Through a specific hardware interface, the ‘Direct Connection to Machines’ module automatically detects machine production and downtime causes.

Data are directly collected from the machine dashboard through digital signs. Both electromechanical control machines and PLCs/computer-based machines can be connected to OPERA. Connection to multi-pallet machines along with management and allocation of collected data is also possible.

The key functions are:

- Automatic detection of pieces/lineal meters produced.

- Automatic downtime recognition and detection of downtime causes.

- Automatic downtime when desired quantity is achieved.

- Automatic restarting after a downtime

- Management of Connection to multi-pallet machines.

 

 

KPI – PRODUCTION PERFORMANCE ANALYSIS

With a view to supporting your Management in strategic decision-making, OPERA MES also offers the new KPI – Key Performance Indicators –  module, including most of performance and production capacity indicators, such as OEE, OPE, TEEP, MTBF, MTTR to name just a few.

Graphic representations and data analysis with Gantt and Pareto charts will assist you in measuring key success factors and critical points throughout all the stages of your organizational production model. Read more

 

 

 

ERP INTERFACE OR JOB ORDERS MANAGEMENT

OPERA MES is generally interfaced with the ERP. Any production order launched by the information system is automatically transferred to OPERA.

The interface updates the ERP in real time by providing WIP data. OPERA can be interfaced with any information system on any operating system.

In case your information system does not provide for production orders launching, a job-order-management module integrated into OPERA is available too.

This module is designed for those companies who either want to manage production completely with OPERA or do not have an ERP implementing MRP functions available. Production orders are generated based on data from the articles record, bills of material and production cycles
